New Beauty for the Anxious and Intimidated

A fresh thought for the morning:

Cultivate inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that God delights in.

The holy women of old were beautiful before God that way,

and were good, loyal wives to their husbands.

Sarah, for instance, taking care of Abraham, would address him as

“my dear husband.” You’ll be true daughters of Sarah if you do the same,

unanxious and unintimidated.

I Peter 1:4-6, MSG

I would very much like to live free of anxiety and intimidation. Especially the anxiety part. Here’s a new thought: such a life is connected not only to cultivating my inner beauty, but to being gentle and gracious and kind to my husband.

Hm.

Now this is something to test out! Anyone want to try it with me?
